KŌRERO FROM MEL

Ngā mihi o te tau - End of Year Greetings

As we inch closer to the summer break, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and pride in our entire school community. This year has been filled with extraordinary growth, numerous achievements, and countless small moments of manaakitanga (kindness and respect) that truly define our kura.

We have seen our students embody resilience, embrace challenge, and flourish academically, artistically, and on the sports fields. Your children have made us proud every single day, and I thank our dedicated staff for their unwavering commitment to their success. Most importantly, I thank you, our whānau (family/community), for your constant support, partnership, and trust.

The year has flown by, and it is wonderful to look back at the incredible work done. From significant success in the NCEA co-requisite assessments to phenomenal results in cultural and sporting competitions, our students have demonstrated that they are ready for their next steps.

Our focus on core values, including kaitiakitanga (guardianship and care for our environment), has truly embedded itself in the way our students interact with our school and the wider community. This growth in character and competence is the true measure of our success and is a strong foundation for the future.

We are already eagerly planning for the new school year, ready to welcome new whānau and continue to build on the momentum of this year's successes. We remain focused on providing a high-quality, holistic education that prepares our students to be confident, connected, and actively involved citizens.

Thank you once more for your support of our school and your children this year.

I wish you and your family a safe, restful, and joyous holiday season. May the summer break be a wonderful time to relax and recharge.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.

Ngā mihi nui,

Mel Moore
