Rugby is offered to girls and boys at RHS, with quality coaching and support on offer. All teams have enjoyed incredible success over the years with the RHS U15, and RHS 1st XV winning their respective competitions during the previous two seasons. In 2025, this was expanded to include a 7’s programme.

We welcome coaches and managers of all levels who would love to commit to a season or more. You will be supported by the sports department and TIC’s. Please indicate on the Kindo registration form or get in touch with us directly.
Competition Season:
Intermediate: Local club (Suburbs RFC)
Opportunities for Intermediate players 7s through the year (Sports exchange, AIMS & WIMS)
Open to Year 9 students (both boys and girls) and above - secondary school students
Runs for Terms 2 and 3 (Training begins Term 1)
Boys - Saturdays - 25th April - 29th August
Girls - Wednesdays - 22nd April - 26th August

Tuesday's
13th October - 10th November, 2026

Team Finalisations
Teams will be announced via email, and then Team Reach groups set up for each team.
Tournaments 2026
WIMS (yr 7 and 8) events:
15 a side - 16 June, 2026. Albert Park, The Awamutu
7 a side Girls - 28 July, 2026. Campbell Park, Morrinsville
7 a side Boys - 4 August, 2026. Bedford Park, Matamata.
AIMS (yr 7 and 8). 7’s. Mount Maunganui. 5-11 September 2026.
Practice times:
TBC with confirmed coaches once in place. These will occur on the school rugby field
Fees: to be paid prior to season starting using Kindo, please refer to Kindo for pricing
Other Information:
Year 7 and 8 students may be considered depending on numbers / weight / ability / etc.
They should be playing for a club in the WCJR competition in Years 7 and 8.
