Expectations and Commitment:

Practice times will vary depending on the team.
All players are expected to attend all trainings and games unless a valid reason such as sickness/family emergency is provided. This must be communicated to the coach/manager as soon as possible. If coaches are not notified, players may find that they have reduced court time.

Please do not get your ears pierced during the season, as you will not be able to cover these up and play, which will disadvantage your team.

Options to play for RHS Netball in 2026
Players can choose NOT to trial if they just want to play with their friends.

Players who wish to play for our Premier and competitive teams will need to trial.

When registering, players will have the option to:

1. Play with friends. Do not need to trial.
On your Registration form please name the friends you wish to play with
Every player in a team needs to register themselves and can request to be in the same team with their friends. These will still be competitive teams, entered in the appropriate grade. These teams will need an adult manager OR coach to support them.

2. Play competitively. MUST Trial.
On your Registration form please choose the “Wish to Trial”
option. You will still have the option to name friends you want to be with,
in the event that you do not get selected for one of the top teams, you
will be placed with friends that you list (as applicable).

Please note: All competitive teams train 1-2 times a week.
By selecting this option you are committing to attend training dates.
By selecting to play you are committing to playing for the whole season.

All students who wish to be considered for our Prem and Prem Reserve team will need to do a BRONCO fitness test this morning. Please do not let this put you off - take up the challenge and show us where you are at this early in the season. If you cannot make it please email: [email protected].

Each year level will have two trials. Players who want to play competitively must attend both trials. It is really important that you communicate with us ([email protected]) if you cannot make a trial.

Team Finalisations:
Teams will be announced via email, and then Team Reach groups set up for each team.

Mixed Netball
If we get the numbers we hope to have a mixed team. If not we will try to find an alternative team for players.

Communication
We want ALL teams to use Team Reach to communicate with whānau and parents. A Netball Facebook is also being used in this season and will be private. Once teams are sorted information on how to join this will be shared with parents/caregivers.

Please reach out if you feel a player has been placed in the incorrect
team. We know trials can be unsettling. By contacting us during squad training sessions a review will take place. We will not be reviewing all students and once teams are named we will avoid making any changes.
