Touch is offered in both term 1 and term 4 for all age groups, and is an excellent way of staying fit for winter codes.
Competition Season 2026:
Term 1 - 2026 - Social/Competitive
All ages - Yr 7-13
WTA INT & SS MODULE
Playing Venue: Swarbrick Park, Rifle Range Road, FRANKTON
Playing Dates: Monday 16, 23 Feb, 2, 9, 16, 23 March 2026 (6 Weeks)
Playing Rounds: 4.30pm, 5.10pm, 5.50pm, 6.30pm. The number of rounds will vary at each competition depending on number of fields/entries.
Game duration: Games will be 15 minutes each way with a 2-minute half time. There will be 8 minutes in between rounds.
Grades available: Year 7/8 Girls, Mixed, Boys, Junior (yr 9/10) Boys, Girls, Mixed & Senior (yr 11-13) Boys, Girls, Mixed.
Term 4 - 2026 - Social/Competitive
All ages - Yr 7-13

Coaches:
We rely on volunteers to coach our sports teams. We are very lucky to have a number of parents who volunteer to fill these roles, and we'd love to hear from you if you are keen on helping our teams. Please indicate on the registration form if you are happy to do this.
Trials:
Trials or musters will be held only if there is a need. We will place all players who register into age appropriate teams with friends first and foremost
Team Finalisations
Teams will be announced via email, and then Team Reach groups set up for each team.
Tournaments 2026
Waikato Secondary Schools - TBA. Venue TBC
WIMS (Yr 7/8) - Date Tuesday March 17th, 2026. Venue Albert Park, Te Awamutu
This will be limited to players who play for RHS.
NZSS Champs - Date and Venue TBC
Practice Times and Venue:
TBC by coach. Venues will either be the school rugby field or Korikori Park, subject to availability.
Fees: to be paid prior to season starting using Kindo, please refer to Kindo for pricing
Uniform
RJHS or RSHS PE Shirt.
Black PE shorts
Touch shoes or cross-trainers
(Shoes are compulsory for training and matches).
