Learning

Learning at Rototuna Senior High School
We believe that as a young adult our rangatahi learn best when they feel valued and are actively engaged in their learning. Our young people will experience warm, positive relationships between teachers, students and families.

Groups of students work on laptops in the school library, surrounded by books and a vibrant superhero mural.

Our students will:

  • Know what they are learning and why
  • Connect their learning to real life situations
  • Have multiple opportunities to build on their existing knowledge
  • Examine and use new knowledge
  • Have time to reflect on their learning

3 Parts of our Curriculum:

  • Whānau | Advisory
  • Wānanga Ako | Specialist Learning
  • Puna Wānanga | Impact Projects
