Missing just five days in a term (one week of school) can have a real impact on learning. Students who are absent at this level or more often find it harder to keep up and are at greater risk of disengaging over time.
You should be receiving weekly attendance reports for your young person. If these aren’t coming through, please check your spam/junk folder.
Reporting an Absence
If your young person is going to be absent, please let us know before 8:30am by:

Please include your young person’s name, whānau class, reason for absence, and expected duration. Unexplained absences will be marked as ‘T’ (Truant).
A reminder that students are not able to report their own absence – this must come from a parent or caregiver.
