On Friday, the 12th of September, the team played in the final of the WSSFA knockout cup tournament against St Paul’s. The game was competitive and the team displayed their great sportsmanship and never-back-down attitude. We ended up losing the game 1-3 and finishing as the runners-up in the junior boys A-grade knockout cup.
The boys had to bounce back quickly for the junior boys five-a-side tournament the next day. We entered two teams and the RHS blue squad made it into the final against HBHS Eagles. The teams were drawn at full time so lined up for a penalty shootout. Captain James Newland came through in the clutch, saving a penalty and scoring immediately afterwards to give RHS blue the win!
Congratulations to the team and well done on their awesome efforts throughout the 2025 season.
