Replacing it as our new online teaching and learning platform will be Google Classroom. Students will be shown how this platform operates at the start of the school year.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to view this video to familiarise yourselves with how it works, how you can support your child’s learning in this space and how you can opt in to receive daily or weekly email updates summarising the assignments, messages and due dates pertinent to your child’s learning.
In terms of how we communicate with students, families and the wider school community, we will be replacing Schoology with a combination of:
Kamar notices - for in-school messages to students
Newsletters sent out fortnightly to parent/guardians
Direct emails to parents/guardians necessary
Social media posts to our students, parents/guardians, and the wider community
Our school’s website
Display TVs are across the kura for up to date messages
