A copy of the booklet will be sent home to whānau and Learning Advisors will also support students to make decisions.
While we value being able to give students some choice in their course selections, it is important to understand that when students make their selections, they are thinking about their ‘top 3 choices’ as opposed to first, second and third choices. It is absolutely impossible to give every student in the school their ‘first choice’, so it helps to go into the process with the right mindset in place to avoid disappointment. The only way to avoid this being part of the process is to completely remove all choice and assign students their subjects, and we don’t think that is the right course of action for us at this time
