From late January (usually around the 3rd week of January), students can access results of their externally assessed standards in their MyNZQA learners portal. If these results necessitate a re-think of subject choices for 2025, this conversation can be had in the Whānau Conferences held during Week 1, Term 1.
Students are encouraged to have a good look at your external exams when they are released. They have the right to request:
a review, if a processing error has occurred
a reconsideration, if you believe an error in marking has occurred. It is often a good idea to ask kaiako (subject teacher) for a second opinion if you are thinking of requesting a reconsideration. For more information about this process, go here.
