Kia ora,
Due to an increase in thefts of e-scooters from our school grounds, we have had to employ security guards to patrol the school during the day.
Over recent weeks, we have experienced a number of incidents involving people from outside our school community entering the grounds and using equipment to remove locks and steal e-scooters belonging to students. These incidents have occurred during school hours and have caused considerable concern for students and staff alike.
We are extremely disappointed that these measures have become necessary. However, the safety and security of our students and their property remain a priority, and we hope that the presence of security personnel will discourage further incidents.
We are actively working with the police on this issue and providing information to them on a regular basis.
