NOAH:
We’re thrilled to announce that Noah has been selected for the New Zealand Wrestling Team! He’ll be heading to American Samoa to compete in the Oceania Wrestling Championships from March 19th to 31st!
Alongside the competition, he’ll be attending a training camp in Apia, Samoa!
Right now, Noah is deep in the training zone, putting in the hard work. It's a mix of nerves and excitement, but he’s ready to represent NZ on the international stage!
We’re incredibly proud of all he’s achieved so far and can’t wait to cheer him on! Best of luck Noah!
PARINOOR & EKNOOR:
Congratulations to Parinoor Sidhu, the youngest player on the New Zealand Kho Kho team, for winning the Best Player award in two matches at the recent Kho Kho World Cup!
"Parinoor gained a lot of popularity among coaches from different teams," Sidhu said, praising the young player's impact. "She's incredibly talented in both chasing and defending."
Congratulations is also in order for Eknoor Kaur, Year 9. Who also played in the World Cup. She received an award for her awesome attacking skills in their game against South Africa.
For those unfamiliar, Kho Kho is a fast-paced team sport where one team chases and the other defends, trying to tag players within a marked area. It’s a game of agility, speed, and strategy that’s gaining recognition worldwide!
