Flynn Allison was selected for a combined Hamilton High Schools badminton team invited to compete in Hamilton as part of the 2026 National Tertiary Badminton Championship event.
Competing against top university teams from Massey, AUT, and Otago, Flynn picked up wins in both singles and doubles matches. An awesome achievement against some very strong opposition.
While the combined Hamilton High Schools team couldn’t officially place in the tournament standings as a non-tertiary team, they finished the weekend undefeated, topped their pool, and were the second highest-performing team overall behind tournament winners, the University of Auckland. 👏

Laura and her squad-mates will take on Australia for two international friendlies later this month. Amazing achievement, Laura!
