Introducing our Teachers in Charge

About Rugby at RHS:

Rugby at RHS has continued to grow over the last 5/6 years with consistent teams entered in WIMS 7s and 15-a-side tournaments, with hopefully our first AIMS games Boys 7s team entered in 2024. This growth has allowed consistent numbers in the U14 and U15 grades. Continually focus on the growth in the Junior High will then mean consistent numbers flowing into the Senior High program. The last few years have seen Rugby opportunities grow for our players with preseasons.

About Futsal at RHS:

Futsal at Rototuna has flourished over the past 7 years, experiencing significant growth. In Term 1 of 2024, Rototuna fielded 6 Senior teams, while both the Junior and Intermediate levels boasted 8 teams each. At the conclusion of the term, our Senior Premier Girls and Boys, alongside our Junior Premier Girls (making their first appearance) and Boys, proudly represented Rototuna at the NZSS Futsal competition. Impressively, all our teams secured positions within the top 20 schools in New Zealand. Our Senior Girls clinched the 7th spot, while both the Senior Boys and Junior Boys achieved 14th place. Additionally, the Junior Girls secured an impressive 11th place finish. Preparation is currently underway for the WIMS tournament for boys and girls, where our boys team will be looking to win the tournament for a third time.
