Jahye has been busy and competing well over the last few months. At the Wellington Judo championships he was outstanding and achieved a gold medal 1st in cadets 15-18yrs u66kg, a 2nd place silver in the cadets open weight category and a 3rd placed bronze in the junior men’s open 15-21yrs.
He then went onto compete at the Auckland International competition middle of July also where he fought really well in cadets u66s division and placed second getting a silver medal!
At this event he also fought in the cadets open division losing the bronze medal fight to a blue belt judoka. He then had to get himself prepared for another bout in the junior men's u66 category going up against a blackbelt and fought well but came up short.
In this event Jahye showed real resilience across a total of 9x fights where some lasted 4-5mins each.
Well done Jahye on your awesome achievement. We know your coached and parents are super proud. As are we!!
