The new field will deliver a high-quality, multi-use sports field for the community, along with a smaller warm-up area. The project includes floodlighting to enable usage in winter.
To date the following has been completed:
Levelling out the field and gravel placed to form the field basecourse
Lighting foundations have been completed
Grass bund nearest Rototuna High School has been hydroseeded and is now growing
The field has been levelled and gravel placed to form the field basecourse
All stormwater drainage and catchpits have been installed
Lighting pits and conduits within the field area have been installed
Currently underway includes:
Steel work to form the concrete bleachers, player dugouts and footpath is being formed in place
Concrete will be poured to form the bleachers, ramps and footpath*Fence posts are being installed
