Kia ora e te whānau,
We are really enjoying seeing our new students getting to know our school this week!
We’re excited to share that our new canteen has quickly become very popular among students. We’re also happy to report that our new students are settling in well with the ordering tablets, making the process smoother for everyone.
We have noticed that the cash line doesn't move as quickly as the electronic ordering lines. We also know that equipping young people with an EFTPOS card can be daunting. As parents you can pay and place their food orders online the night before and in the morning until 9am, and their order will be available for pick up at the beginning of lunch (TUCKR) including popular items such as Juicies.
Otherwise, we encourage orders during the school day to be made using an EFTPOS card rather than cash if students want to move more quickly through the queues. Students over the age of 10 can obtain an EFTPOS card from most major banks (with parents connected to and overseeing the account), or you can investigate options like Square One (Squareone) and Prezzy (Prezzy) cards and load small amounts of cash at a time.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to enjoy the new canteen facilities!
