To alleviate this and create smaller class sizes, we are creating a whole new set of modules in Semester 2. This set has the learning areas of Maths, English, Social Studies, Science, Visual Art and Health and Physical Education.
We now need to fill this Set with students. Shortly we will be sending a Google Form to our Year 8 students asking them if they will be keen to move to this Set. We will also be seeking feedback from the Year 8 teachers to help identify students who will be suitable to move.
Once we have a list of potential students for this new Set we will communicate with home and seek final approval from whānau / caregivers. Not all students who request a change will necessarily be accepted as we want to ensure there is a fair and equitable balance of students in all of our Sets.
