The students who attended were Joshua Shinmar, Richard Kandel, Dyuti Duppati, Navya Chaudhary and Maryam Falaah. Over 300 students attended this event from all over the country. There was even a delegation from Australia.
Every day there was something new to participate in, from debates and workshops to networking sessions. One of the highlights for the students was visiting Parliament. During the opening ceremony at Parliament, they were privileged to meet representatives from the High Commissions and Embassies of Pakistan, the United States, United Kingdom, Samoa and more. At the closing ceremony, the group also heard from Chris Hipkins, which was a real treat.
Our delegation has already started thinking about how they can bring some ideas from the NZMUN into the Waikato-based MUN they are hosting. This is an exciting gathering that will be held at the University of Waikato and organised by the MUN Puna Waananga roopuu. We wish them all the best for a fantastic event.
