If students think a mistake has been made with the marking of their exams they can apply for a reconsideration.
You can access information on reviews and reconsiderations in your student’s NZQA Learner logins, but you can also access the information and the form you need to fill out via this link. About 20% of reconsiderations result in a grade change (it can't go down, just up).
The last date you can send the online application is:
NCEA: Wednesday, 18 February
NZ Scholarship: Friday, 06 March.
The cost is $20.40 per Standard, but this is refunded if the grade changes. Financial assistance to waive the fee for reconsiderations is available for eligible students.
