Our WIMS Football teams were in action on Tuesday and had a great day out with a lot of great results.
The Boys got to semis after 2 wins and 2 draws and came up against Cambridge. In the battle for 3rd vs 4th it was too close to call at fulltime vs Fairfield and the teams went to a penalty shootout where we were just pipped to finish 4th!
The Girls had a similar day and got to semis after 2 wins and 1 draw. In the Semis the team went down to Maeroa in a great match and like the boys also went to a penalty shootout with Morrinsville in 3 v 4 playoff! Morrinsville took the honors here and our girls also finished 4th which is a fantastic achievement.
Massive thanks to Hayden Booth for coaching boys, Imogen Dryden for coaching girls, Rafiq Bester and Kelly Blake for managing the respective teams, and all the parents who came on to cheer on the teams!
