A massive congrats to Alyssa Dick (yr 7) and Sophie Thomas-Vedder (yr 9) who were selected to compete at the U14 Pacific Cup Touch Tournament 2024 held at Bruce Pullman Park, Auckland at the beginning of November.
Alyssa represented the Cook Islands during the tournament. She has had a busy year of sport at RHS, and will also be representing Waikato in the U14 Girls Development Touch team over summer.
Fun fact: Alyssa's Dad also played for the Cook Islands at the same tournament and received the Tournament MVP award. Her younger sister Mikayla was also part of the tournament with her club team.
Great job Alyssa and whaanau - you're amazing!
Sophie was selected to play for Nga Tini o Tainui touch team representing her Māori heritage! In her four games played, they came away with two wins and two losses.
