How Might We Statement:
How might we ensure that girls at Rototuna High Schools never pay for period products.
Our project is about informing every girl at our school that they have access to free period products for their whole school life. We are doing this by putting up information posters, restocking all of the teacher offices and we had a stall at the Puna Expo with 300 sample packs that we made which were full of a variety of period products such as:
Regular pads
Super pads
Regular tampons
Super tampons
Liners
Goodnights
Regular teen pads
Regular teen tampons
The Ministry of Education funds an unlimited supply of free period products for every menstruator in every high school and primary school in New Zealand. These products are all Libra products, and are distributed to schools throughout New Zealand through Officemax.
Parents, teachers, and students are able to stock up on as many products as they want. For students, products are also available in every teacher's office. Students can always go down to student services and pick up as many period products as they want and if any parents need additional period products they can email Bessie and arrange a time to pick up a custom pack.
