It was more than just a field trip; it was a fact-finding mission. Our students saw firsthand how other schools successfully integrate Pasifika culture into daily life. They’ve returned to RHS with fresh ideas and a strong desire to grow. We are incredibly proud of their agency and look forward to seeing them evolve our school’s unique Pasifika identity through student-led initiatives.
Feats of Excellence - Illuminating Pathways into Study and Careers
In partnership with Waikato University, we are looking to bring the FoE STEM program to RHS. This initiative focuses on:
Enhancing knowledge of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) careers.
Learning activities grounded in the cultural legacies of Pacific navigation and innovation.
FOU Academy – Pacific Health Services
FOU - The Future is Open to Us - A Pacific focused initiative that nurtures and builds a workforce that is representative of the communities that we serve.
Target: Years 11–13.
The Goal: Providing NCEA science support and mentorship.
The Future: This program would link students directly with Te Whatu Ora, who will track and support their professional pathways into the health sector long after they leave RHS.
