Fun Mun was conceived last year when we noticed many of our beginners were nervous about MUN - a simulated negotiation and debate conference. So we decided to host a Fun MUN where we ran workshops to train students and boost their confidence.
In 2025 we welcomed 60 students into FUN MUN workshops at RSHS.
On the 2nd of May, we welcomed over 100 students at the University of Waikato.
It was a high-energy, busy weekend.
Our student leader teams designed and conducted workshops to help students with public speaking, resolution, and amendments while understanding the basics of MUN. They practised and rehearsed until they had become confident in training other students. Well done MUN leaders!!! You worked many late nights, and it paid off.

In August, we are hosting Waikato’s flagship debate event, Inter-school MUN, with two MPs confirmed to attend.
