The RSHS Premier Boys Basketball Team had a fantastic time away in Rotorua at the Zone 2 AA Premierships. The team played six intense games over the course of four days. They represented our school very well and maintained a strong sense of determination, commitment and grit throughout the tournament. This was especially notable as they came up against some very skilled and drilled teams and also endured some tough games. This was the first time RHS had sent a team to the Regional Premiership, so it was great for the boys to see the skill level of players across the country.
The team had a fantastic sense of comradery over the trip and played some brilliant basketball. A massive shoutout to Hadley Murray (coach) and Shelley Smolenski (manager) for their enduring support and management of the team over the season and during the tournament. What a fun and exciting end to their basketball season!
