Last weekend was great evidence of the progress the boys have made, with a 3-1 victory over HBHS Gold to improve on their 1-1 draw earlier in the season.

There have been plenty of moments to celebrate over the course of the season. One that stands out was a clutch goal from Aiden Campbell in the final minutes against HBHS to level the scores at 1-1, where they then went on to win a penalty shootout to advance in the knockout cup.

Some other notable performances have been Hayden Lloyd who has had an excellent first season as a goal keeper. Liam Waitai has slotted in brilliantly part way through the season. Then there is our formidable centreback duo of Freddy and George, nicknamed the 'Williams Wall'. Ollie Askey is currently our top goal scorer with 11, though rumour has it if you ask him he will say he has more!

Coach and teacher at RJHS Hayden Booth who has been an outstanding coach and support for the boys this season has said the focus for the team was to improve our communication and sportsmanship over the course of the season, areas which the boys have shown huge progress in so far. They have been communicating much more positively and productively while showing more respect to our opposition and referees.

We look forward to seeing the boys building on this and finishing out the season strong, hopefully as the champions in their division as well.

Well done to all involved!
