Both 9A and 10A Netball teams embody the Tu Tahi (Stand Together) spirit which is the cornerstone of our RHS Netball programme. They support and encourage each other, achieving exceptional results through their tight team work.
Both teams are playing in their respective A grades, and have started Championship Round with a win each, as they work hard towards making the final of their grades.
When asked, what they enjoy about netball, we were told:
"I love the support and encouragement in the team. I love how we all work together and how training and games are really enjoyable"
"I love playing in the team because of our positive environment, supportive team and of course our awesome coach, manager and supporters"
Respect of those around them is critical to the team's environment, where they make sure they not only thank their opposition but also the umpires after each game, who often have a very thankless task.
The girls share the captaincy during the season, so that leadership skills are developed across the team.
The coach says they are an absolute joy to coach with their positivity and enthusiasm, and are excellent role models for those around them.
