We reached the pinnacle of the Summer Secondary Schools Sports Calendar, where teams from around the country travel to their respective National and Regional tournaments.
Rototuna High Schools had the following teams representing us:
⚽ Junior Girls and Senior Girls Futsal travel to Wellington today for the NZSS Girls Futsal Champs
🏐 Senior Boys Volleyball travel to Palmerston North today for the NZSS Volleyball Champs
🚣🏽 RHS Row Squad start their Maadi Cup (NZSS) campaign on Monday in Karapiro in the doubles and the quad.
🥏Senior Girls Ultimate Frisbee team leave for Taupo on Monday for the NZSS Champs
🏃🏽♀️RHS Athletics team compete in the WaiBOP SS Champs in Hamilton on Tuesday
⚽ Junior Boys and Senior Boys head to Wellington on Tuesday for the NZSS Boys Futsal champs
🏐 Senior Girls Volleyball travel to North Harbour on Wednesday for the NISS Volleyball Tournament

Our Senior Girls Ultimate Frisbee Team had an outstanding week in Taupo for the National Secondary School Championships, finishing an amazing 9th - the first time RHS has been to this event.
The team played against national U20 representatives, and national level coaches, and learnt a lot from other players and coaches, to make them even stronger.
To top it all off, the team were nominated for, and awarded, the "all together better" award
Maadi Cup:
A massive congratulations to Alec and Cooper who won their B final for U15 doubles sculls at Maadi Cup this morning! 🏅

Our teams have been having a massive week, with Alec, Cooper, Tayne, Petar, Jesse, and Mieke all in action, and representing the school with pride!
The Waikato Bay of Plenty Athletics Championships:
We had many PB's across the majority of our athletes and also a record equaling achievement when Mia De Jager recorded a 24.4s in the 200m Senior Girls event! With this Mia has tied the best ever time for this category which was set way back in 1977!!!
