Uniform Message Re: Skirt

Date: 3 Mar 2026

We understand that many of the 151 skirts sold by Uniform Group (UG) this year were manufactured to an incorrect length - resulting in a fit that is far too long for many of our students.

We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and we’ve been working closely with UG to find a solution that works for everyone.

The Solution

After reviewing several samples and consulting with a random group of students, we have settled on a new standard length. These adjusted skirts will measure between 42cm and 45cm (excluding the waistband), depending on the garment size.

Our goal is to provide a length that students feel comfortable in without needing to roll their waistbands, maintaining both comfort and our school’s uniform standards.

How to Get Your Skirt Adjusted

Uniform Group has agreed to professionally hem any of the 151 long-stock skirts at no cost to you. To take advantage of this, please follow these steps:

  • Label clearly: Ensure the skirt is clearly named.

  • Drop off: Bring the skirt to the school reception on or before Thursday, 2 April (the final day of Term 1).

  • Pick up: The adjusted skirts will be ready for collection on Monday 20  April (the first day of Term 2) from the SLT office upstairs.

Uniform During the Transition

Since skirts will be away for adjustment over the break, students may wear alternative uniform items - such as PE shorts or leggings - on the final day of Term 1 and the first day of Term 2.

We appreciate your patience while we get this sorted. We’re confident this adjustment will result in a much better fit for our students.

Colder Months

As the weather starts to cool, students need to be organised with school jumpers and jackets. Please ensure these are available for students to wear to keep them warm. Non uniform jumpers / hoodies are not allowed.
