Whānau Conferences

Date: 30 Jun 2026

Our mid year Whānau Conferences are fast approaching, scheduled for Week 2, Term 3. These conferences will be conducted in the afternoon with your students Kaiarahi (Whānau Teacher), over two days, with a late night on Tuesday the 28th July to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules.

Please note that on this day, school will finish early at 1pm for students for these conferences to take place. Students are expected to attend all other classes for the day.

These conferences are an important opportunity to share their learning progress, reflecting on the goals they have been working towards this year, and discussing any support they may need for the remainder of the year. It is also an opportunity for students and whānau to begin planning for 2027, including discussing upcoming course selections and key timelines.

We encourage all students and their whānau to attend and look forward to partnering with you to support your young person's learning and future pathways.

The Pathways team will be available to meet with you at the upcoming whānau conferences. Here are the areas and topics we can help you with:

  • Verity: University Entrance, prerequisites and rank scores, subject selection, and tertiary or pathway options.

  • Charyl: Internships, BCITO, and other work experience or Gateway options.

  • Neville: Wintec Trades Academy, Service Academy, Defence Force career pathways, and STAR courses.
