About

At Rototuna Senior High School, we are dedicated to helping students in Years 11-13 thrive both academically and personally. Since opening in 2017, we have built a unique learning environment alongside Rototuna Junior High, with a shared vision, Board of Trustees, and access to some shared facilities. This close connection between the schools provides a supportive foundation for students to grow.

Our experienced and passionate staff are focused on helping each student develop their strengths, ensuring they are equipped to walk into their future with confidence, purpose, and a wide range of options. We offer a well-rounded curriculum, designed around evidence-based research and high-quality teaching practices, to support every student in earning their NCEA Level 2 and 3 qualifications. Our open, flexible learning spaces encourage collaboration, fostering a sense of community between students, peers, and teachers.

We prepare students for the real world by offering learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. Our curriculum is based on the New Zealand Curriculum, connecting students to real-life projects and work experiences. These opportunities allow students to build essential skills for the future and make valuable connections with the community, tertiary institutions, and potential employers. By the time they leave, our students are not only academically prepared but also have strong relationships and pathways in place for their next steps.
