KOORERO FROM MEL
Kia ora to all of our new whānau and students and to all of those who are returning in 2026. As a staff we are excited about getting started on Thursday (29 January) by welcoming our new students and then having everyone back on Monday 2nd February.
For all new students starting with us, please arrive at school on Thursday 29th January by 8.30am and gather outside the main entrance to school, in full school uniform. Around 8.45am we will welcome everyone and guide you into our pōwhiri. Whānau are welcome to attend the pōwhiri and, after the students have gone to class, you can join us for a cup of tea and bikkie also. Please note that there will not be an opportunity to meet your child/ren’s teacher advisor on Thursday. School will finish at the normal time of 3:15pm. Please note that on all Wednesdays, school starts at 9:30am.
Getting back to school is always a busy time for whānau and our first eNews bulletin (this one) is aimed at giving you all the essential information you need to make sure the start of school is a positive one for you and your young person/people coming to us.
We have staff in reception and we will be answering phones too so feel free to reach out if you have a question. You will also have a personalised email coming out this week with details particular to your child and their Advisory / Hapū and how to access KAMAR and Kindo.
